The inspiration behind this piece:
On May 19 2024, God gave Tyler (the artist) a vision for a concept of one of her next paintings during prayer. It was a heart with a wave around it. God’s protection. He in fact parted the Red Sea.
For those of you who aren’t aware, the artist stopped creating art after the passing of her mom, Missy back in 2012. Art was something that Tyler ran from and pushed out of her life for almost 8 years. She STRUGGLED without art because it was the glue that held their bond together so strong. Tyler & Missy were inseparable.
When Tyler started creating again, God started to give her visions. She does not push beliefs on anyone, but she is aware that this gift is coming from something more powerful than herself. Something bigger. The source of life itself.
During the summer, she did a lot of reflecting questioning by where God was taking her with this art journey. When Tyler was on a walk, she seemed out God asking for a sign that she was on the right path. Shortly after, Tyler stepped on one of those round metal things on the sidewalk that is labeled “water”. She asked God what that meant and heard “living water”.
Water is the essence of our existence. We wouldn’t survive without it. We are basically walking water since over 70% of our body is made of it. The artist thought about how water can produce electricity/energy, but yet too much of an electric shock can be fatal.
This has stuck with her since. Tyler was busy with art markets and special orders this past summer, so she didn’t have much time to paint. The artist put a lot of thought into how she wanted to try and pull this off.
At the end of September, she was in the middle of painting a piece called “Burnout”. Tyler struggles with patience so she works on a few projects at a time to prevent her from making mistakes in her work.
Tyler realized that she painted 7 valves connecting to the water. A vital lifeline. God created the earth in 7 days. It reminds her of the water system and the symbolism behind how actual valves in a water system work.
That’s when she started this painting. The morning after it was completed, she sprayed the clear coat on it and had a stunning revelation. Without realizing it, Tyler painted this in the midst of Hurricane Helene. She doesn’t believe in coincidences.
This is “Living Water”.
A clear satin semi-gloss finish was used to protect this piece.
This original painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity by the artist.
